A day for wellbeing and relaxation in Ingolstadt<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Shopping, Me-Time in the SPA and Sundowner in the Moai Garden<\/h3>\n

My perfect day starts for me with a cozy breakfast in our BLOCK Hotel & Living and with at least (!) two pots of Earl Grey. In addition, a fresh selection from our delicious buffet, with pleasure classically with an egg in the glass! In the summer, we like to sit on the terrace or in our popular Moai Garden. Freshly strengthened, it is only 3 km to the Factory-Outlet-Center Ingolstadt Village<\/strong> which opens its doors at 10 a.m. and thus provides a perfect basis for a nice shopping day. When, at noon, the small hunger announces itself, the restaurants in the Village have an excellent offer. How about a light vegetable curry bowl at the INDOCHINE Restaurant, for example? Afterwards, another shopping round can be made. Not seldom, bargain hunters come back to the hotel with the most beautiful new favorite pieces.<\/p>\n

Ingolstadt on a culinary level \u2013 with \u201cSch\u00e4ufele\u201d and potato dumplings<\/h3>\n

Of course, if you prefer to eat local Bavarian food, I have another hint. Only 3km from the hotel in the historic old town, you’ll find \u201cDas MO\u201d. Try an original Bavarian Sch\u00e4ufele with potato dumplings \u2013 you will not regret it! The city beer garden right across from the Liebfrauenm\u00fcnster offers a quaint atmosphere that you won’t soon forget. And when the wind rustles through the chestnut leaves, the day is really perfect for me! By the way, a visit is worthwhile not only in summer but thanks to heating also in spring and autumn. And if it should be really cold, the restaurant with its gallery and the historic walls inside offers the right ambience for a cozy lunch break.<\/p>\n

Old Town Tour<\/h3>\n

After a hearty snack, we set off in the direction of Klenzepark<\/strong> which invites you to take a picturesque stroll. Then we cross the Danube bridge to the historic old town<\/strong> where the Medical History Museum with its botanical garden and scent and touch paths is a highlight. As an ideal souvenir from Ingolstadt, you can purchase the Ingolstadt gin \u201cHortus medicus\u201d in the museum store. EXTRA HINT: \u00a0If you happen to be out and about on Sunday, don’t miss the \u201cOrgan Matinee at Twelve<\/strong>\u201d. The popular concert series takes place once a week from May to October in the Asam Church Maria de Victoria<\/strong>, which, with its phenomenal ceiling frescos, is worth a longer visit.<\/p>\n

Ice-cream & espresso break: final program for the afternoon<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In the afternoon, after extensive walks and explorations through and in the historic old town<\/strong>, a tasty espresso at Alessandro’s \u201cCorso Italia<\/strong>\u201d is suitable as a final energy boost.\u00a0If you are more in the mood for ice cream: right next door, at the \u201cEISMACHER<\/strong>\u201d, there are the best creations! From the historic old town, the way now leads back to the BLOCK Hotel & Living, well-deserved and still in time for the sundowner in the Moai Garden, before dusk!<\/p>\n

Dine as the mood takes you<\/strong><\/h3>\n

For dinner, I have three recommendations, depending on your taste: if you want to go to the neighboring village with our rental bikes, you will absolutely get your money’s worth at the Brauereigasthof Kastaniengarten<\/strong>. \u00a0From crispy salads to the trendy \u201cCurrywurst DELUXE\u201d and traditional Bavarian cuisine, there is something here for every taste. You love it rather chic? Then let’s go to the candlelight dinner in the romantic AVUS Restaurant<\/strong> on the AUDI Piazza<\/strong>! Or to Toni’s favorite Italian restaurant Nuova Stella d’Oro<\/strong> in the historic center. Both offer exquisite premium cuisine with first-class service that will delight even the most demanding palates and guests.<\/p>\n

Wellbeing in the Nature-Spa: my hint for the evening<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you are not looking for so much action, I have a very special hint for our guests for the evening: After an eventful day with extensive shopping and walking in the city, you can relax your tired legs in our BLOCK GARDEN SPA, located directly in the house. It doesn’t get more relaxing than this! Our spa is all about holistic well-being: natural woods and untreated stone create a uniquely noble ambience. Here you can dangle the soul in all peace and let the day pass in review. Or you can enjoy a glass of wine or a sparkling Prosecco and a light snack in the hotel bar or in the \u201cMoai Garden\u201d \u2013 on this occasion, you can also carry out your newly acquired “fashion bargains”!<\/p>\n

I hope I could give you some ideas for Ingolstadt. One thing is for sure: with our owner-managed private hotel you definitely have a convenient city location centrally between the most important hotspots:<\/strong>\u00a0pedestrian zone (3km), Audi (3,5km), and Ingolstadt Village (3km) \u2013 in the middle of it all and still in the green, for jogging and with your own hotel garden. Already after a short drive, you can reach the shopping center Westpark, the Saturn Arena (concerts & ice hockey), the AUDI Sportpark (soccer), the rural area of the nature park Altm\u00fchltal, and the Dinopark. The hotel is also easily accessible from the A9 highway.<\/p>\n

As you can see, Ingolstadt offers many possibilities. You only have to decide. ;o)<\/p>\n
