Mareile Schröder-Benz, your host at Hotel Astoria Bonn
Mareile Schröder-Benz was rather contented with her job as an office clerk within a large federal association. But she suddenly changed her mind – and took over the parental enterprise. Already in her childhood, he had looked there over her parents’ shoulders and had been quite at home in the hotel. When she came back to assist her parents, this support should first remain a temporary one. One day or other however, Mareile Schröder-Benz was so fond of her task that she finally changed profession. Since 2007, she has been controlling the fate of Hotel Astoria in Bonn. She soon came to appreciate the daily challenges – as well as the happy faces of her guests. When exceptionally absent from the hotel, Mareile likes to spend her leisure time with her family and friends, to cook or motorbike – the latter of course in Bonn, her hometown.
