A day to feel good and to relax in Ingolstadt

Sporty start of the day – as the mood takes you

No matter whether you prefer jogging in the morning or Nordic Walking: we are pleased to show you the most beautiful tours around Ingolstadt – and the suitable Nordic Walking equipment is available, too! To me personally, a perfect day commences with an extended jogging tour in the countryside. The way starts directly behind our hotel, passing by fields and meadows, and leads us back at Ingolstadt Village. We get rewarded with a delicious breakfast including freshly squeezed orange juice and many other delicacies plus newspaper at BLOCK Hotel & Living.

After some copious refreshment, we start in the direction of Klenzepark inviting to picturesque promenades. Crossing the Danube Bridge, we head to the historic center, where the Museum on the History of Medicine is worth visiting. To disabled visitors, I’d recommend a stroll through the attached Botanic Garden with its smell and touch paths. If it’s by chance a Sunday, don’t miss the “Organ Matinee at Noon”. These popular concerts are given once a week from May to October at Asamkirche Maria de Victoria; thanks to its great frescos, this church is worth a longer visit, anyway.

Ingolstadt on a culinary level – with “Schäufele” and potato dumplings

My tip for dinner is located just around the corner: try out an original Bavarian “Schäufele” with potato dumplings at “MO” – you won’t be sorry! The urban beer garden directly in front of Liebfrauenmünster offers a typical atmosphere that will not fall into oblivion. And when the wind is rushing through the chestnut leaves, the day is actually a perfect one! A visit is always worthwhile, not just during summer, but thanks to heating also in spring and autumn. And even if it’s bitterly cold, the restaurant with its gallery and historic walls inside will ensure the suitable ambiance for a cozy noon break.

Shopping with an espresso break: my program for the afternoon

In the afternoon, an extended shopping tour is on program. The required energy boost is ensured by an espresso da Alessandro at “Corso Italia”. And those being more up for ice cream will find, directly over the way, at “ANNA”, the best creations! From the historic city center, we return to our Hotel Ammerland and subsequently to shopping paradise “Ingolstadt Village”, at some three kilometers before the gates of the town. This outlet offers exclusive boutiques with premium brands and designer fashion as well as competent advice and great bargains. Until dusk, people can stroll, try on, and buy to their heart’s content

Dinner as the whim takes you

As to dinner, I have two suggestions, depending on your preferences: if you are fully gripped by shopping fever, then go for dinner on site at Village “Beim Stiftl”! The menu ranging from crunchy salads to delicious club sandwiches or traditional Bavarian cuisine offers the right thing for all tastes. Or would you like a rather chic ambiance? Then come on, let’s go to the Candlelight Dinner at romantic AVUS Restaurant on AUDI-Piazza! They offer exquisite premium cuisine with first class service and satisfy even demanding palates and guests.

Wellness in our Nature Spa: my tip for the evening

For the evening, I have a very special suggestion for our guests: after an eventful day with extended shopping tour and sightseeing, relax your tired legs in our on-site AMMERWALD SPA&GYM. There is no better way to relax! Our Spa focuses on holistic wellness: untreated timber and untreated stone create a unique, noble ambiance. Here you can take a break from everyday life and recall your day’s highlights. Or you indulge in a fine glass of wine or a sparkling prosecco and a light snack in our hotel bar or in the “Moai-Garten” – seizing the opportunity to present your new bought fashion bargains!
