As early as childhood, Marc Roelofs was fascinated with the idea of running his own hotel. This occupational dream soon became reality for the Dutch-born: After finishing school he attended the Hotel Management School in Maastricht before moving to the famous cathedral city. This passionate host spent many years working in well-known hotels until he had enough experience to manage the Hotel Begardenhof. Over the course of a decade, Marc Roelofs became known as the “good soul of Cologne-Rodenkirchen” – and guests still refer to him by this title today. In his free time the hotelier enjoys discovering new things. Besides a love of his adopted home of Cologne, he believes you do not have to travel far to experience new surprises. Marc Roelofs gives guests an insight into his discoveries and the most beautiful places to visit in this cathedral city.
