And while strolling through the ancient streets of the urban core, you’ll completely forget time. Those wanting to elongate their shopping experience will easily reach the adjacent Kaiserstraße, Bregenz’ pedestrian area. No matter whether noble boutique or department store, long-established traditional store or modern lifestyle shop – there is the right venue for all tastes and any budget.

My suggestions for noon: relaxing in the on-site garden, hearty dishes in the tavern

For your culinary lunch hour, I recommend you two venues: simply stay with us and enjoy our table d’hôte from Monday to Friday! In good weather, our two on-site gardens ensure a relaxed timeout in the city and you can provide yourself with the required vitamins on our salad bar. Those up for hearty plain cooking and original Augustiner beer from Munich should absolutely stop by Wirtshaus Kommesser.

Hiking with a fantastic view

The ascent toward Pfänder, Bregenz’ backyard mountain, can admittedly be somewhat arduous. But under fair weather conditions, this hike is absolutely recommendable: 1,064 meters above sea level, you enjoy a marvelous view over the tri-border region as well as the peaks of Vorarlberg’s and the Swiss mountains. Even the farthest lakefront is within sight. In addition, Gasthaus Pfänderdohle provides the perfect opportunity for a stop for a snack or a cup of coffee in front of a fantastic panorama. After the descent from the Pfänder Mountain, you may cool off in the Lake Constance or, should the weather not be on your side, pay a visit to one of the museums at Kornmarktplatz.

During the summer months, nothing can outperform a Bregenz Festival performance on the largest floating stage of the world! After the performance but also independently, the lake promenade allows for a marvelous stroll along the lakefront. My suggestion: don’t miss a chance to pay a visit to the Casino. At a late hour, you may immerge into Bregenz` nightlife: beyond numerous bars in the center, the unique Beachbar right beside the lake is worth a visit. Here you’ll enjoy great cocktails and cool drinks. Then take a sundowner in our hotel bar “Molo“ with its beautiful garden – the perfect conclusion of a perfect day in Bregenz.
